The Greatness In You

If-You-Never-Try

You are Beautiful, smart, funny, kind; and you are unique. You are never too much and you are always enough. Never allow anyone to tell you otherwise. There is so much greatness in you. God in His own infinite wisdom, instilled in us the potentials we need to make life worth living. Have you for once looked at yourself in a mirror and felt like the world’s most biggest failure? Regardless of who you think you are, you have a lot inside of you. Never under-estimate yourself because of past hurts, mistakes, disappointments you have caused. Feeling inferior in the midst of prominent people doesn’t bring out the greatness in you. Remember, you were not created to live depressed, defeated, guilty, condemned, ashamed or unworthy. You were created to be Victorious. Believe in yourself, take the first step into greatness. Remember, you don’t have to be great to get started but you have to start to be great. If only you can tap into the hidden potentials stacked within you, you will have a lot to give to the world. The only way one can be able to discover his/her true purpose or potentials is by a close relationship with Christ Jesus through Prayer. Whatever it is that is stacked inside of you, will be made known to the world if you believe. Nobody can see the dreams that you got up your sleeves; you have to let the world know who you are.

You must decide if you are going to rob the world or bless it with the rich, valuable, potent, untapped resources locked away within you. Dr Myles Munroe, an Inspirational speaker and a Pastor, in one of his inspirational quotes, stated ” Your conception is proof that there is something finished that you were born to start. Destiny produced you”. You are great and unique in your own special way. Remember, you cannot recover what you cannot discover. Reach out to your dreams through faith, hard work and determination.

Believing in yourself plays a vital role in shaping your future. Take control of your destiny. You are the only one who can make it happen and nobody else. Quit blaming people of your mistakes and failures in life. The fact that some people are succeeding doesn’t make you a failure. Build up your faith in Christ Jesus and ask Him to direct your path. Do your  best and allow Him to do the rest.

Trusting In God Even When He Says “No” To Our Request!

34804-Trust-God

As a true believer, what do you do when situations take turns on you? How do you deal with issues confronting your life? How about, when problems arises, do you have faith to stay strong? What do you do when God says No to your requests, even though you trust in Him entirely?

Life as we see it, is a problem itself. We, one way or the other, are meant to solve problems in some aspect of our lives and also in every encounter that we make. God truly loves us and will never allow or permit any evil to befall us. As believers, we need to understand that, “when God solves problems in our lives, we have Faith in His abilities and when He doesn’t solve our problems, request and pleas, He has Faith in our abilities”. We are all bound to face challenges in life but with every challenge, God has promised us victory to stand tall. So why stay worried when there is so much to live for? And remember, trusting in God won’t make the mountain smaller but it will make climbing easier. As a true believer of the Gospel, you always have to remind yourself of who you are in Christ Jesus. He is the Author and Finisher of our Faith. He knows what is best for His Children. So therefore nothing you’ve been through will be wasted. Trust His Word, believe in His promise. He said it and therefore He will definitely do it. God placed you where you are because He had something very special for you there. Never for once think God doesn’t hear you when you pray; don’t you ever, because He listens to you every time you utter a word of prayer. He loves you more than you could ever imagine.

481512df567a16d75190348618e9ee61

And also, just because something isn’t working in your life, doesn’t mean you are up against satanic attack! It might be a test of Faith. Sometimes God does that to know how faithful we are to Him. You don’t have to lose your faith, just because God didn’t do what you asked Him to do for you. You don’t have to have a nervous breakdown, just because you didn’t get the Job, the house and all that you requested from God. We don’t need faith to direct us when everything falls in place; we need Faith to sustain us when all Hell is breaking lose. Just because you don’t see the blessings, favor or breakthroughs in life, doesn’t mean, God is not working. Trust in His timing. If only, you can wait patiently, He will prove Himself wonderful in your Life. In His time, He makes all things beautiful. Live a life pleasing to your Maker. He is the reason for the season. Make no mistake. He’s got a lot of wonderful things to show you.

d4d65785a4af7c9cb2ec1fa7923fa38e

Never lose your trust in Him. Believe in His promise. Whatever thing He has said concerning your life, will surely come to pass. Hold On. He that started a good work in you, will surely accomplish it. Walk by Faith not by Sight.

What Do You Tell Yourself?

what-you-tell-yourself-everyday-will-either-lift-you-up-or-tear-you-down-quote-1

What do you tell yourself when you wake up first thing in the morning? Do you believe what ever you say to yourself takes a negative and positive impact on your Life? How well do you deal with Issues, Problems and other challenges you face in life?

Each and every individual on this earth has got one way or the other, a problem to deal with. In our walk of life, we are bound to face challenges but in the midst of all the adversities, God promises us victory to stand tall. In every encounter that you make; you either give life or drain life out of it. Words are everything to life. So we have to be mindful of the words we utter. Just because you are not who you thought you would be in life, doesn’t mean you should bring upon yourself curses, with the words you speak out. What we, as humans, need to understand is that, the brain does not control the mind, the mind does. The brain and the mind obviously have an intimate relationship, but the mind is different: it is a collection of thoughts, patterns, perceptions, beliefs, memories and attitudes. Based on the research I made, concerning how the brain and the mind works is that;

A human brain works on “thought patterns”, which are nothing but “programming” that has been indented into its neural network. You can also observe a definite “pattern” in some of the thoughts that are produced in the brain. For example, it’s possible that your brain is presently in the habit of creating a pattern of negative thinking, where it seems to give a negative flavor/connotation to all its interpretations – in this case your brain is subconsciously in the habit of looking at reality in a negative manner and at the root of all its negative thinking is a subconscious belief in some “core” negative thoughts.

get-up-every-morning-and-tell-yourself-i-can-do-this-quote-1

You must understand that subconscious patterns are always running in “auto” mode in the brain, because at some point you took these patterns to be the truth of your life and invested belief in them to the point where they became “ingrained” patterns.

When you think a thought long enough, it automatically goes into “auto” mode because the neural pathways for this thought become strongly embedded in the neural network of your brain. For example, when you learn to drive a car it’s a very conscious effort initially, but after a few months the patterns become so embedded in the brain that the whole action of driving becomes subconscious or “auto” mode.

Certain negative thoughts are running in “auto” mode in your brain, and these negative thoughts are usually the root cause of many negative perceptions and interpretations that you come up with in your daily life. Unless you identify and let go of belief in these subconscious negative thoughts, you will constantly be struggling with the negativity in your brain. A simple awareness of the subconscious negative patterns is enough to start becoming free of them.

5 Things To Tell Yourself Each Day

1: Today will be my day

2:I am the Best Me there is.

3: I know that I’m a winner.

4: I can do it, I know I can.

5: God will always be with me

Finally, i want to urge you to be very mindful of your utterances because whatever you tell yourself works for your own good. Oh Yes! Ok fine! How about, you reminding yourself each and everyday that, you are a winner, an over-comer and a conqueror? It does work. Take control of your destiny, let every word that comes out from your mouth, speak life into the dead and most above all, make sure your words are sincere and true. Live a happy life and Enjoy yourself with the words you speak.

I’ve A Boyfriend – Selina Boateng

8lgD8iJy

Gospel musician Selina Boateng has told Nana Romeo Welele on Accra FM that she is not married but has a boyfriend. The “Alpha & Omega” singer on Friday’s edition of Accra FM’s drive time show, Nkran Kwanso orated that it is not mandatory for female gospel musicians to marry pastors.

“I don’t believe it is compulsory. Marriage is an institution God arranges so if it is His will for you to marry a pastor then fine but if it is not in the plans of God for you to marry a pastor but a business man, then that will happen.

The most important thing is that the person is the right person God has chosen for you. Somebody who can help you in life. If he is a business man and he has accepted Christ, he can help you in your music career.” She replied.

Selina-Boateng-1

When asked the qualities, she wants her dream man to possess, Selina Boateng said “I’m searching for someone who fears God, someone who is also looking for love and is rich because my job will need financial support before spiritual help”.

When Nana Romeo Welele, host of the drive time asked if she has a boyfriend, she answered that “yes please.” She quickly added that he is the one I’m planning to marry.

“If God accepts him, then that’s all.”

Selina who failed to mention her boyfriend’s name further asked Ghanaians to pray for their relationship to develop into marriage.

Ghanaian Culture and National Development!

6213Culture is Lifestyle as manifested by a particular people or society. So it is man-made, not genetically inherited. It is evolved for the purpose of living. It is socially taught and learned. It originates as human response to the local physical and biological environment. Cultural traditions look to the past for their mandate, authority and authenticity as cultural traits are regarded as society’s norms handed down the generations.

However, culture is dynamic and is often affected by local and external influences and stimuli.

Culture is expressed in intangible or non-material form, for instance in terms of languages, dialects, philosophical thought, cosmology, morals and ethics, religious beliefs and rituals oral traditions, folklore, festivals, political ideas, music and dance, social customs related to birth, puberty, marriage, family life, work, death etc. Culture is also manifested in tangible or material form, in terms of types of food procurement and preparation, diverse technology and crafts clothing, body decoration, visual art and symbols, secular and religious architecture, monetary medium of exchange, transport systems etc.

      Our Ghanaian Economy

The economy of Ghana has a diverse and rich resource base, including the manufacturing and exportation of digital technology goods, automotive and ship construction and exportation, and the exportation of diverse and rich resources such as hydrocarbons and industrial minerals. These have given Ghana one of the highest GDPs per capita in Africa.[12][13] Owing to a GDP rebasement, in 2011 Ghana became the fastest growing economy in the world; differences with neighboring economies are likely to be overstated due to underfunded statistical agencies in surrounding countries.

The Ghanaian domestic economy in 2012 revolved around services, which accounted for 50% of GDP and employed 28% of the work force. Besides the industrialization associated with minerals and oil, industrial development in Ghana remains basic, often associated with plastics (such as for chairs, plastic bags, razors and pens).[14]

Ghana embarked on a currency re-denomination exercise, from Cedi (¢) to the new currency, the Ghana Cedi (GHc) in July 2007. The transfer rate is 1 Ghana Cedi for every 10,000 Cedis. Ghana embarked upon an aggressive media campaign to educate the public about what re-denomination entails. Value added tax is a consumption tax administered in Ghana. The tax regime which started in 1998 had a single rate but since September 2007 entered into a multiple rate regime. In 1998, the rate of tax was 10% and amended in 2000 to 12.5%. The top income tax and corporate tax rates are 25%. Other taxes included with value-added tax (VAT), are national health insurance levy, and a capital gains tax. The overall tax burden amounts to 12.1% of Ghana’s total domestic income, and the budget of Ghana has fallen to the equivalent of 39.8% of GDP.

ghanaeconomy

Since its return to multi-party system more than two decades ago, Ghana has made major strides towards consolidating its democratic achievements. Its judiciary has proved to be independent and has generally gained the trust of Ghanaians. The Ghanaian Parliament is vibrant, and despite inherent challenges and the dominance of the two leading political parties, has created the avenue for debate and vigorous legislative activity.

Ghana is constantly ranking among the top three in Africa for freedom of the press and freedom of speech. The broadcast media is the strongest, with radio being the most far reaching medium of communication. While all these put Ghana in an enviable political position, and provides it with formidable social capital, Ghana’s economic course over the past couple of years raises many concerns.

The main threat to the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) is discontent at the rate of improvement in living standards and an ongoing energy crisis. The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has requested a new voter registration system from the Electoral Commission after claiming that a number of irregularities have been found. The NDC has disputed the claims put forward by the NPP, further stating that there is no need for a revised system.

Ghana made a significant progress in poverty reduction, and met the Millennium Development goal of halving poverty rates by 2015 to 24% in 2013 from 52% in 1991. Real GDP growth is projected to fall to 3.4% in 2015 from 4% in 2014. Nevertheless, Ghana’s long-term growth prospects are positive. The growth rate is projected to rebound to 5.9% in 2016 and 8.2% in 2017, assuming that energy rationing will be resolved in 2015, and planned fiscal adjustment remains on track to achieve the 2017 objectives with the support of the IMF and other development partners.

Recent Economic Developments

Ghana’s fiscal consolidation program, which started in late 2014, is on track, as the fiscal deficit narrowed more than the budget projections in June 2015. The primary balance, estimated at 0.6% of GDP (against the target 0.6% deficit), represents a significant improvement from the 1.4% deficit in June 2014, while the overall fiscal deficit was reduced to 2.2% of GDP from 4.3% during the same period.

The current account deficit narrowed to 2.6% of GDP in June 2015 from 5.2% for the same period of 2014.

Ghana experienced net capital outflows in June 2015, partly driven by deterioration in perceived risk in the midst of global market volatility. As a result, gross international reserves were down by $1.1 billion by end-June to $3.2 billion (equivalent to 2.1 months of import-cover), and the Ghanaian cedi lost 21% of its value against the US$ by September, 2015.

Inflation has remained high, despite the tighter monetary policy stance and slowdown in economic activity. Inflation rose to 17.3% in August from 16.4% in January, reflecting the sharp currency depreciation and fuel price adjustments.

Real GDP growth is projected to fall to 3.4% in 2015 from 4% in 2014, as energy rationing, high inflation, and ongoing fiscal consolidation continue to undermine economic activity. Ghana expects to receive large capital inflows in the coming months: a possible Eurobond issuance up to $1.5 billion (of which only $1 billion to be issued with the World Bank guarantee to restructure its debt); and disbursements from development partners. Ghana’s long-term growth prospects are positive.

        National Development

330px-Economy_of_Ghana

Development- this is the progress that is made or being made in everything, be it social, economic, political and ones physical being.

The economic development of Ghana has grown steadily, but that does not mean to say that Ghana is developed in its economic sphere. Ghana’s economy must grow to a limit that it will be able to increase the standard of living of the people in the country with a sustained growth from a simple middle income economy to a modern high-income economy. Economic development also depends on the technological level of the country, economic development actually involves improvement in a variety of indicators such as, literacy rates, life expectancy and poverty rate. Ghana’s economic development must really be on the health and education of its citizens. Youth development should be adopted in order to arrive at the full face of development. In Ghana the youth form the larger population of the country and therefore they must be equipped with cognitive, social, and emotional skills and abilities required to navigate life as well as jobs, and through this the youth will be able to positively affect the country. Some of the youth of the country are unemployed and the fact is that a few of them are not educated, the rest without gainful jobs and the others because of bad behavior and attitude towards work and so on. When these youths are not given these necessary requirements of live, they turn to other things that they claim are jobs. When this happens the development pattern of the country changes, which results in making lives unbearable for the most. Thank God for the National Youth Employment Program (NYEP), this has been the hope for the youth in recent time. Another aspect that Ghana need to think about as far as development is concern is the personal aspect of development, personal development is not by accident but it is by nature, purposeful and guided from within. Personal development starts from the mind, when Ghanaians are able to build up a type of mindset that will not attack development but rather aid development there will be the assurance that Ghana will keep climbing the development ladder and will never descend. Considering that fact that a Ghanaian drinks a sachet of water and then litter the streets of Ghana with the sachet instead of placing the sachet at the right place. Most Ghanaians do things that they know retards development and yet still they do it with the reason that “the government is the one responsible to the task of cleaning the country.” Development can not get to the highest level if the government works in isolation. Development in Ghana as been very sustained in the past decade of years, the resources of the country has been used judiciously to meet human needs and also to preserve the environmentso that these needs can be met not only in the present, but also for generations to come. Ghanaians must learn to preserve the trees and other natural resources as well as the water bodies.

The actors in development are the government, individual, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO)s, private companies, household and the like. A strong point is that until Ghanaians develop a new mindset that will help their personality and the country there can be no development, the various actors need to ensure that they work together in order to achieve success in development. The non-governmental agencies and other actors must come to the aid of Ghana in terms of development, for in isolation development comes to a stand-still.

A Heart To Forgive!!

cant-forgive_zps6cfdc304

What is forgiveness? Why do we Forgive? Of what essence will that be? Why should you possibly forgive your enemies, the critics around you? Many a times, this are some of the questions we ask ourselves but what we need to understand is that, forgiveness is a direction from God.

Forgiveness means letting go of past hurts, disappointments, bitterness and hatred, cause by the people around us. Forgiveness becomes difficult when the offender is a person we never thought could hurt us. Forgiving others may seem to be a choice, and in one sense it is a choice, but God has been very clear about forgiveness. He has given us specific direction in numerous Scriptures, all of which can be summed up in just one word — forgive! God’s Word says, “And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins” (Mark 11:25). “Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven” (Luke 6:37). Forgiveness is not an occasional act, it is a constant attitude!

forgiveness-key

God in His own infinite wisdom and power made it clear to us that, it is in our own best interest to forgive! Forgiveness opens every closed doors in our life. It is the “Breath Of Life”. Forgiveness attracts blessings and favor from the Most High. God is not talking about what is in the best interest of the person who needs to be forgiven. We are the ones who God is trying to protect. And besides, when we forgive, We are the ones who mostly benefit from forgiveness, not the other person. An unforgiven spirit complicates and compromises our daily walk with God. Forgiving others releases us from anger and allows us to receive the healing we need. The whole reason God has given us specific direction is because He does not want anything to stand between us and Him. God’s love for us is unconditional, it has no filth. It is clean and strong. Forgiving others spares us from the consequences of living out of an unforgiving heart. Forgiveness heals every wounds. It restores happiness and makes way for the blessing of God.

quote-anger-makes-you-smaller-while-forgiveness-forces-you-to-grow-beyond-what-you-are

And below is a Parable, Jesus told His Disciples On what forgiveness meant.

The Parable Of the Unforgiving Servant

(Matthew 18:21-35)

Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, If my brother keeps on sinning against me, how many times do i have to forgive him? Seven times? “No, not seven times, answered Jesus, “but seven times seven, because the kingdom of heaven is like this. Once there was a king who decided to check on his servants’ accounts. He had just begun to do so when one of them was brought in who owed him millions of pounds. The servant did not have enough to pay his debt, so the king ordered him to be sold as a slave, with his wife and his children and all that he had, in order to pay the debt. The servant fell on his knees before the king, ‘Be patient with me,’ he begged, ‘and i will pay you everything!. The king felt sorry for him, so he forgave him the debt and let him go. “Then the man went out and met one of his fellow-servants who owed him a few pounds. He grabbed him and started choking him. ‘Pay back what you owe me!’ he said. His fellow-servant fell down and begged him, ‘Be patient with me, i will pay you back! But he refused; instead, he had him thrown into jail until he should the debt. When the other servants saw what had happened, they were very very upset and went to the king and told him everything.
