The Zeal to Succeed

How can one be successful? What does it take to attain the maximum level of success? Do we go to school to be successful? These are some of the question I asked myself whiles growing up and I believe some of you have once in your lifetime asked these same questions.

 

 Attaining the maximum level of success in life is not an easy journey; it takes time, perseverance, hard work and determination. The journey to success has got a narrow road; you are meant to face challenges, pains, and disappointments. The success we see, brings many loss. You have to hold on to whatever it is that you have set on your eyes on; the dreams. There is nothing impossible for you to do. Believe in yourself, set your paths right and stay focus. Remember, believing in oneself plays a vital role in shaping your future. It also paves the way for you to be successful. As the saying goes “A journey of a thousand miles, begins with one step”. Remember to put God first in everything you do. He is and will always be the reason for the season. Never forget that! Although, some people might be convince to think, education is the key to success. Well, I think I have to dispute that. A Motivational speaker and a Pastor, Dr. Myles Munroe stated in one of his motivational quotes that “The Bible does not say, a man’s education makes room for him, but that his gift does. Education is not the key to success, it doesn’t guarantee anything; it is your gift that is the key to success” And come to think of it, what is the source of every gift that we possess? Have you for once asked yourself this question? As humans we tend to put our trust in our fellow humans; thinking they are our source of wealth and everything we are made of. No, not at all! As humans, we need to understand that, “Every good and perfect gift that we possess is from above, coming down from the Father of Heavenly lights, with whom there is no change  or shifting shadow- James 1:17”

 

 

In our walks of life, we may find ourselves in temporal situations and we might think, that is the end of the road. Remember the way you think goes a long way to either make you or destroy you. Change the way feel about yourself. Just because your folks are succeeding in their endeavours, does not necessarily mean, you are a failure. There is so much more inside of you. Never allow any negativity to bring you down. You alone have the power to change your life and nobody else. Always have the zeal to succeed, be determined to get there and also be Achievement Oriented. I’m very much sure, you have heard of the adage “Procrastination is a thief of time” Oh yes, it is!! What needs to be done, has to be done well and immediately. Stop postponing things that needs to be done NOW. “Time and tide waits for no man” says an old adage. Resist from being Indolent and start working towards your dreams. Think Big and Work towards it. After all, God is not against Big thinking, But He is against you thinking you are bigger than anyone else. Think success and you will be successful. Be Achievement-Oriented. You Can. You Will.                      5 Ways to Be Successful

1: Prayer:  The first step it takes to achieve your ultimate goal in life, is by prayer. Prayer answers all things. God in His own infinite wisdom, “Made life simple and plain but we have chosen to make our life very complicated- Ecclesiastes 7:29”. To achieve your aims and ambitions in life, you need to ask God to help you get where you want to be. Never stress yourself trying to make it on your own. You can’t!  As human and as a child of God, you need to “Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart”. Remember, it is the blessings of the Lord that makes us wealthy not hard work. Pray always and expect good things to happen. It’s already done.

 

2: Believe in yourself: The greatest way to achieve your ultimate goal in life, is to know yourself. Know your strength. Believing in one’s self goes a long way in helping you shape your future. Success comes to those who believe in their dreams. Most people become reluctant because of past mistakes and failures. The problems are meant to cross your path and challenges are also bound to come, but don’t stay in the filth, move on and stay focus on your dreams. You will achieve if you believe.

 

3: Perseverance: To persevere means to keep on striving. In our daily lives we tend to give up on our dreams, just because of the rejects and let downs we face in life. And yes, I know, to continue pressing on to that which you want to achieve in life, in spite of the difficulty and discouragement is not easy. I know, because I have been there myself, but the truth is, it doesn’t just end there. You will definitely get what you want if you don’t give up. It will take some time for you to realize it but it’s worth it. Keep on persisting and you will surely get to your destination. It’s not very far from here. Just mile away. Be patient. Don’t quit. Remember “Winners never quit and quitters never win”. Go get it.

 

4: Hard work and Determination:  “Hard work pays” as the saying goes. Work hard and be determine to get to where you want to be. Attaining the maximum level of success is not an easy journey, it requires the strong and brave to get there. Remember, you don’t have to be a Doctor, Banker or a Teacher to be successful. No! It doesn’t. It takes a hardworking man to be successful. You can be a salesman and be successful. All it takes is, having the high ability to save. Be courageous and keeping pressing on. You are already there.

 

  5: Set small achievable goals:  As the saying goes “A little drops of water makes a mighty ocean”. Have the courage to do small things with excellence. Learn to create work for yourself. Just a small business you love to engage in. Your success in life, revolves around you. Remember, you don’t have to be great to start, you have to start to be great. Keep yourself busy and active with the little idea you have. Start something and you won’t regret making that decision. It’s just one thought away. You can make it. Start something and it will grow.
