How do you view yourself now? What about in the next 5years? What do you want to do in future? Some people tend to under-estimate themselves because they failed to visualize who they want to become in life. You need to understand that, whatever work you set your eyes on, to be in life, requires hard work and determination. Be encouraged, see yourself doing it. You need to form a clear mental image of the person you want to become.
Today on Exclusives with SammytheAuthor, an Inspiring Ghanaian Entrepreneur shares with us, his life story and career as an Entrepreneur. Check the Interview below.
So tell us. Who is Dzagbletey Nenebie Faith Adabah Julius.?
Ans: Faith Julius is a 26-year-old young man who graduated from the university of Ghana-Legon with a first degree in Economics and Information Studies. He also has a background in Human Resource Management from the same university. Julius sees himself as a catalyst for individual and organizational growth and development. He finds his fulfillment in helping others, especially the youth, to identify their purposes in life and to go all out for them (their purposes).
Wow.. That’s nice.. I understand you are the founder/CEO of Spread Aid International which is an NGO. Ermm.. Tell us more about it and How did you come up with the idea or concept?
Ans: Thank you very much Sammy for the opportunity. I see it as a great privilege to lead the entire membership of SpreadAid International as the Executive Director.
The journey of SpreadAid International started way back during my first year, second term of SHS level of education.
It actually started with the name “GreenAid“. It was a study group that involved students from about 5 schools. SpreadAid International, today, is a legalized- youth-based NGO, with her main focus on the provision of quality education, youth empowerment and aiding to eradicate poverty through the provision of basic necessities to deprived communities with the vision of “Putting Back Smiles on Faces”.

Yea..I have noticed some of your great works and even the impacts your making through the events your organization puts up..So let me ask..What was your mission at the outset?
Ans: Our burning desire was and is to help people, especially those in rural communities. Our focus is mainly directed towards the youth because we have the strong belief that if we want this generation and the unborn generation to be better, then there is the need to invest in the youth. These are our mission statements.
1) Promote excellence in education.
2) Advocate for and support the less privileged in society.
3) Unearth and build talents in the youth.
4) Undertake volunteer programs.

Thats nice. So what are some of the Impacts made ever since your initiative came into the scene?
Ans: In general, SpreadAid International has positively impacted the lives of over 6000 people in her operation for 2 years (officially). This has been done through our annual projects listed below.
Project 5000: Through this project over 2500 lives have been impacted in about 12 schools in 6 out of “previously” 10 regions in Ghana.
The aim of this project is in the direction of the 4th Goal of the global vision (SDGs) which is the provision of Quality education, which is first on our mission statement. SpreadAid International believes that in order to live a permanent impact on individuals, then the first thing to look out for is education (training their minds).
Through this project we distribute stationery to students and also address some basic needs of the schools which are within our reach. The main aim of Project 5000 is to encourage the young ones out there that they can actually become whoever they want to become if they don’t give up on themselves and aren’t tired of pushing themselves forward ( giving the essence of why they should be educated and not only schooled).

Build the Child Today, Save Tomorrow” Upon a research conducted by some members of the organization, the findings revealed that for most students, before they sit to start writing their final exams (BECE, in this case), they fail before the actual exams begin. Most of these students fail not because they aren’t prepared academically but because they aren’t often prepared psychologically- the fear of failure actually fails them.
This project which stated in 2016 with the aim of preparing BECE candidates for their exams have impacted over 500 students in two communities- Ashaiman and Mallam.

SpreadTalk: This is an annual conference held for young entrepreneurs and potential young entrepreneurs to share ideas on how to either start their journey or how to overcome some challenges they face along the way. Speakers are mostly young entrepreneurs who are doing well in their various fields. Last year, which was the third edition ( sitting over 100 young ones), had among others, Kafui Danku ( film-maker, author and Goodwill Ambassador) as one of the speakers. The feedbacks we get from attendees have always being positive with great testimonies of the aftermath every edition of SpreadTalk.

We have been to these orphanages more than twice; Hope Children’s Home ( Haatso), Village of Hope ( Cape Coast) and Rising Star ( Dodowa) totally over 700 young ones we shared love with. We have also been to Ankaful Psychiatric Hospital to provide some of their needs and to share some time with them.

Finally, we have collaborations with other organizations and associations to embark on Projects, the recent one is with the Keta Naspa on their Project dubbed “Stay in School” where we provided stationery to about 200 students.
Awesome. I applaud this initiative for that. So tell me, any challenges so far..? Anything you wanna share?
Ans: It is an opened-secret that one of the major challenges facing youth set-ups like SpreadAid International, who are striving to do good in our country and beyond is limited resources (mainly funding) to undertake projects.
Amazingly, SpreadAid International is made up of about 90% of University students and fresh graduates but alot has been done through the little they have. Just as it is said in our local dialect, ” it’s the Child who starts claiming a tree that deserves a push”, we call on all to come on board to support the good work that is being done through Spread Aid International. Individually, we can’t do much but together we can achieve so much.

We call on all media partners who would want to join this good work being done to come on board to project to the world what we can all do to make the world a better place. There are evidences of our works on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter with the name Spread Aid International.
What do you look for in an employee/member in your organization?
This work is really a sacrificial work. If you don’t find fulfillment in it, my advise is that you don’t do it. Most times the only fuel that keeps you going is when you remember the smile you have been able to put on someone’s face. My members should be selfless and very persistent ( the result wouldn’t come in a day- the need to keep on keeping on). Above all an undying believe in the promises of God ( the compass for our operation).
If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be?
Why do you want to do what you are doing or about doing? This question is extremely imperative because there are many youth out there who are just doing what they are doing because someone is doing same and either succeeding or otherwise. It always gets to that point where the only motivation to continue is to ask yourself that question. If you don’t have an answer to it, trust me, you would give up.
And also let me take this opportunity to thank all Spreaders who believed in this vision and went all out to see it’s manifestation. Thanks to all individuals who have and continue to support this organization in divers ways to see her (SpreadAid) where she is now. Many thanks to you SammytheAuthor for this opportunity of letting the world know that an amount of good is done in SpreadAid International which they need to hear about. Special thanks to these two individuals who have been with me in the thin and thicks- Raymond Okyere-Forson and Mawuenam Priscialla Aheto. I greatly appreciate you all.
